What is RSS?
RSS is a technology allowing automated receipt of information of news and updates on websites. It is intended for people who want to be informed on any changes on the popular www sites without their repeated visiting.
What do I need to read RSS reports from this web?
A programme, or the so-called “RSS reader”. You can download it for free but you may also find it in your favourite browser. It is a standard part of modern www browsers or email programmes, e.g. Internet Explorer 7 and 8, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Chrome or Opera.
You can set the URL address of the RSS file (the so-called RSS channel) easily in the reader or in the browser. Usually you can only open the introductory page of your favourite www server in your web browser, and an icon informing you about the possibility of news distribution will appear on the status bar.
